Since 2000 Dan has been working as a freelance performer, director and producer for young audiences. His interest lies in the production of staged music performances in combination with acting, storytelling and contemporary puppetry.
Dan Tanson holds a Masters in Visual Communication in Brussels, specialising in children´s book illustration. He has taken courses in dramaturgy, acting, contemporary puppetry, movement theatre, contemporary dance and improvisation in Belgium, France, Germany, Czech Republic and Luxembourg.
He has worked with puppetteer Frank Söhle, dramaturg Michel Tanner, director Dario Moretti and theatre maker Karel Van Ransbeek. His performances have been played all over Europe (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg), North Africa, the U.S. and China.
He is the founder and artistic director of the company TRAFFIK THEATRE Luxembourg producing theatrical productions exclusively for young audiences. Since 2006 he has collaborated regularly with the Philharmonie Luxemburg , Lucerne Festival, Wiener Konzerthaus, Philharmonie Köln, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg. Other regular partners are – Kulturhaus Niederanven, CCRN opderschmelz, Neumünster and Rotondes Luxembourg.
